chou Platform Privacy Notice
This page describes what data we collect when you use chou and how we keep that information protected. We at chou take your privacy seriously — we do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we restrict access to sensitive data within our organization. When you register, deposit, place a bet, or withdraw funds on chou, we collect certain details to verify your identity, process payments, and comply with anti-money-laundering law.
Our chou servers and payment processors may be located outside your jurisdiction, but all data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security protocols to prevent unauthorized access. If you have questions about how we handle your data, you may contact our privacy team through the channels described below.
This notice explains what data we collect, who can access it, how long we retain it, and what rights you have. By using chou, you consent to this data practice. If you do not agree with our approach, you may request account closure and we will delete your data subject to legal retention obligations.
What data we collect on chou
When you create a chou account, we collect your full name, email address, date of birth, and telephone number. During KYC (Know Your Customer) verification, we also collect a scanned copy of your government-issued ID (passport, national ID, or driver's license) and proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or lease agreement). We use this data to confirm your identity and prevent fraud.
When you deposit or withdraw funds, we collect transaction details including the payment method used (DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, or e-wallet), the amount, and the date and time. Our payment processors also retain records of your card details or e-wallet tokens — we do not store full card numbers on our own servers. When you place bets on chou, we log your selections, stakes, odds, results, and settlement details for our records and dispute resolution.
We also collect technical data: your IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, and approximate location (derived from IP). We track your login history and account activity to detect suspicious behaviour and enforce our terms. If you contact our support team, we record the content of your messages, ticket status, and resolution.

How we use your chou data
We use your data to operate chou — to verify your account, process deposits and withdrawals, settle bets, and comply with law. We analyze betting patterns to detect fraud, money laundering, and problem gambling behaviour. We may use your email to send account notifications (balance updates, withdrawal confirmations, security alerts) and occasional promotional messages about new games or tournaments (like Liga 1, Piala AFF, or Piala Indonesia). You can opt out of promotional emails through your account settings.
We share your data with third-party payment processors (the entities behind mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, and our bank partners online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment) to process deposits and withdrawals. We also share data with anti-fraud services and identity verification providers to confirm your legitimacy. We may disclose data to law enforcement or government agencies if legally required.
Data retention and security on chou
We retain your account data for as long as your chou account is active, plus five years after closure (to comply with financial and tax regulations). Transaction records are kept for a minimum of seven years. Identity documents (scanned ID and address proof) are kept for five years after your last withdrawal, then securely deleted.
We encrypt all data in transit (using HTTPS) and at rest (using AES-256 encryption). Our servers are protected by firewalls and intrusion-detection systems. We limit employee access to sensitive data and require multi-factor authentication for admin accounts. We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing. However, no system is non-specific info secure — if we discover a breach affecting chou user data, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities without unreasonable delay.
Your rights and our chou privacy commitments
You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold on you. You may also request that we correct inaccurate data, delete data no longer needed, or restrict how we use your information. To exercise these rights, contact our privacy team via email (listed in support channels below) or through the account settings page on chou. We will respond within standard review windows.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your betting history or payment information with advertisers or data brokers. Third-party integrations (payment processors, identity verification services, fraud-detection providers) are bound by confidentiality agreements. We may update this privacy notice from time to time — we will notify you of material changes via email and in-app notification. Continued use of chou after an update constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
Cookies and tracking on chou
We use cookies to maintain your login session, remember your preferences, and track how you use chou (e.g., which games you play, how often you log in). These cookies are not used to identify you personally — they are tied to your chou account only. We also use analytics tools to measure site traffic and performance; these tools may set cookies to track your session, but we do not pass personally identifiable information to them.
You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will impair your ability to use chou (you will be logged out frequently, preferences will not be saved). We do not honor "Do Not Track" signals, but you can control cookie settings directly through your browser.
Cross-border data transfer on chou
Our chou infrastructure may include servers in multiple countries. When you use chou, your data may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside Indonesia — for example, within the European Union, United States, or Southeast Asia. By using chou, you consent to these transfers. We apply the same security and privacy protections regardless of where data is stored.
